RSVP and discussion here in the forms

When: July 23-31 (last week in July).  

Where: Cape and Islands, Edgartown, Nantucket

Why: Because we can! & possible meet up OSCA & LISCA (Ocean State & Long Island Sound Catalina Associations)

Who: You, of course!

Note: changes to the start of the Cruise (Sat-Sun-Mon), originally tailored for NOCA boats has been edited (3/18).

7/23 Saturday - Meet in Menemsha Harbor ⛵️- Inside Moorings, two (up to 6 rafted boats) available on Dockwa 5/1 at 11am, slips and outside moorings also available; as well as outside anchorage. No launch service. Sundowners on the beach at sunset. Menemsha Harbormaster has a 48 hour refund policy making the alternate option below a possibility, based on the weather forecast or interest.

7/24 Sunday ⚓️-  Lay day at Menemsha - alternate (preferred) ⛵️, (departing a day early from Menemsha) sail to Tarpaulin Cove and anchor for the night - meet up with OSCA fleet arriving that afternoon. Has a great beach, accessible only by boat, and a lighthouse walk. You also may see the occasional cow in the water; otherwise it's a private island. Good spot to anchor for the night - weather dependent.

7/25 Monday ⛵️- Menemsha (or Tarpaulin Cove) to Edgartown - ~ 21 nm, shoreside evening/dinner meetup TBD. Arrival will be around Noon/1pm. Sail in company with OSCA.

7/26 Tuesday ⚓️ -  Lay day at Edgartown

7/27 Wednesday ⛵️-  Sail to Nantucket. ~ 27 nm.

7/28 Thursday ⚓️ - lay day at Nantucket

7/29 Friday ⚓️- 2nd lay day in Nantucket, alternate ⛵️ sail to Quissett Harbor with some CANE and/or OSCA boats (they take reservations for clubs, but are "very grumpy" and only want a single point of contact). No launch service.

7/30 Saturday ⛵️- depart for home ports / Captains choice ;-)

Notes #1: not sailing with a dinghy? no problem! you can swim! Ok, really - for the overnight anchorages, plenty of other boats will have dinghy's. Same with destinations and sundowners - launch service is offered in Nantucket, and Edgartown.

Weekday reservations are usually OK, but waiting too long might hinder getting a mooring. Anchoring is an option, no excuses ;-)
